Natural Science and Social Science Student’s Expression of Attitude toward English Class: an Appraisal Analysis

This research aims to investigate the attitude of natural science and social students toward their English class, as well evaluative language employed in expressing opinions class. The study employs Martin & White's (2005) appraisal framework analyze used. participants consist 60 high school students, with 30 from Natural Science major Social Sciences major, who were selected using purposive sampling method. requested write a narrative text outlining experiences perceptions class they attended for one semester. analysis result show that both tend give positive evaluations towards attend. However, are more inclined compared students.
